JWI celebrate Jewish women from all walks of life – from our award-winning Jewish Woman magazine, which explores the depths of the contemporary Jewish experience, to our yearly Women to Watch gala, where we celebrate the extraordinary work of 10 Jewish women, each making her own unique mark on the world. One of our favorite things about highlighting the accomplishments of women leaders today is that it inspires the leaders of tomorrow to make a difference – and also to get involved with the JWI community.
In our annual Summer Series workshops, college-age interns in Washington, DC hone their women’s advocacy skills and learn about the JWI financial literacy and healthy relationship programs that they can bring back to their campuses in the fall. For women already in the working world, our Young Women’s Leadership Network hosts events where 20- and 30-something Jewish women in the D.C. area can network and build skills to further their careers.
More established women in the JWI community can become Women of Action – JWI’s sisterhood of the most talented, compassionate and dedicated champions for women and girls. This elite group of activists works hand-in-hand with JWI to support work that makes a lasting impact on the lives of girls and women in the U.S. and abroad.
