Join the L.A. Network for an interactive workshop about personal finance! We’ll be covering basic financial planning concepts such as budgeting, saving, goal-setting, investing, retirement, and more. Have your burning financial questions answered by experts in banking and finance!

$10 for members/$15 for non-members.

Our two dynamic speakers will be Megan Mulloy and Matt Sorensen.

Megan Mulloy is a Vice President and Eagle Invest Advisor with First Republic Investment Management.

Ms. Mulloy joined First Republic in 2009. She began her career with First Republic Investment Management as a member of the client service team and then progressed to the Client Relationship Analyst and Team Lead. Prior to joining First Republic, Ms. Mulloy worked in investment management at both Morgan Stanley and UBS Financial Services.

Ms. Mulloy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bucknell University. She is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional and received her Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from the University of California at Berkeley.

Matt Sorensen is an Associate Director and Eagle Invest Advisor at First Republic Investment Management.
Mr. Sorensen joined First Republic in 2015. He began his career at Wells Fargo Private Bank as a Wealth Advisor Associate before joining First Republic in a similar role.
Mr. Sorensen earned his bachelor of arts in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

We will be hosted by Vera Liebenthal.

Ms. Liebenthal is a business banker and relationship manager with First Republic Bank specializing in commercial real estate, business, and non-profit lending. She manages an active commercial loan portfolio and is working with individuals, families, and businesses to help them meet their financial goals while holistically addressing both sides of their balances sheets. As part of her strong commitment to the State of Israel, Ms. Liebenthal had developed an innovative loan program backed by Israel Bonds that is now offered through First Republic Bank.

Prior to joining First Republic Bank, Ms. Liebenthal worked at Bank Leumi USA and Israeli Ministry of Finance in Jerusalem. She holds BA degrees in Economics, Sociology, and Anthropology from Hebrew University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester. She also completed a two year service in the IDF.

She presently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three daughters.
