"Yes She Can" Book Talk: Inspiring Stories of Young Women from the Obama White House

Join JWI’s D.C. Network, The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, Sixth & I, and the authors of the newly published book Yes She Can, for an intimate conversation. Yes She Can is an anthology of inspiring stories contributed by ten young women who were staffers in the Obama White House. Our guest speaker will share with us stories of her successes and challenges while taking charge and creating change in the U.S. government.

Light food and drink will be served. Kosher dietary laws observed.

$12 for Network members, Federation Ben-Gurion Society and Chai/Double Chai Society Members: $18 for non-members. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Registration closes at midnight Tuesday, April 16th. Walk-ins welcome.

Taylor Lustig is the manager of government and external affairs at PepsiCo. She was formerly a policy advisor for the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships part of the Domestic Policy Council under the Obama Administration.

Nita Contreras is currently a special advisor for strategic environmental policy to the CEO at Enviva. She was formerly assistant staff secretary in the Obama Administration.
