National Alliance to End Domestic Abuse

Professionals working in the field of domestic violence often work in fast-paced, underfunded environments where they are expected to successfully serve diverse victims with different needs, conditions and stories. They do not have the time or resources to seek out training or stay up-to-date on the latest best practices or emerging studies.

The National Alliance to End Domestic Abuse provides essential, low-cost webinar training to professionals in need of affordable ongoing education, providing online lunchtime trainings that are easily accessible. Since 2005, JWI has offered high-quality webinars featuring leaders in the field sharing their expertise on a variety of topics, ranging from working with special populations (i.e., elderly victims, immigrants, persons with disabilities), responding to children, highlighting relevant legislation and exploring cutting edge studies and practices.

JWI creates consistently outstanding webinars for a diverse network of hundreds of organizations from every state and seven foreign countries, including attorneys, social workers, counselors, educators, advocates, domestic violence organizations, task forces and clergy of all faiths. Our registration has ranged from 100 to 1000, and the evaluations we receive after each webinar show that over 95% of participants have been satisfied with the calls each time. Attendees frequently write in with positive feedback, including “we so appreciate these webinars. We are getting valuable education that we wouldn't otherwise be able to get,” and “thank you so much for presenting such life-saving material. Just when we think that we have thought of everything, the game changes... and that's why it is so important to stay current with information.”

The National Alliance provides 10 monthly 90-minute webinars each year. Through our partnership with the National Association of Social Workers, webinar attendees receive 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs) per webinar as well as a Professional Development Certificate and a copy of the webinar recording.
