About Us

Jewish Women International (JWI) is the leading Jewish organization empowering women and girls – through economic literacy; community training; healthy relationships education; and the proliferation of women’s leadership. Our innovative programs, advocacy and philanthropic initiatives protect the fundamental rights of all girls and women to live in safe homes, thrive in healthy relationships, and realize the full potential of their personal strength.

Ending Violence Against Women
One in four women will experience abuse in her lifetime – as early as her teens. One way or another, this issue affects us all. JWI designs innovative programs to protect the security of women and girls, from healthy-relationship education for teens, to economic literacy for women of every age. We are a leader: Organizations turn to us for critical resources and training, delivered through national and local forums, that empower professionals, advocates and clergy to end domestic violence. And JWI is a community builder, creating powerful networks that generate new strategies to lift women and girls to their full potential.

Taking Action
At the grassroots level, at the United Nations and on Capitol Hill, JWI’s advocacy agenda is centered on violence prevention and reproductive rights. Our community networks and programs infuse thinking around critical issues with the unique, creative energy of Jewish women.

A Future for Women and Children at Risk
Once a single B’nai B’rith Women auxiliary more than a century ago, JWI’s network now spans the globe. Today’s philanthropic initiatives reflect our long-held and long-term commitment to transform at-risk young lives – here in the U.S., in Israel, and in Jewish communities all over the world – into healthy, productive futures.

Empowering Jewish Women
JWI celebrates women’s achievements, and in doing so inspires the next generation of leaders. In person, in print and online we spotlight dozens of Jewish women, and awaken thousands more to their own strength and extraordinary potential as agents of change.
