Employment

So graduation is a few months away and it will finally be your turn to enter THE REAL WORLD…That means getting a job, paying rent, and being responsible.

The best way to smooth your transition into the real world is to plan ahead!

Benefits: If you plan ahead instead of waiting until you graduate to think about post-school life, you're likely to end up with a better job and a brighter future.  Networking and resume-building are incredibly important and must be started early. College resume-writing programs and job fairs can help you get prepared.

Challenges: It's been said--and rightly so--that looking for a job is a full-time job. Researching opportunities, filling out applications, writing a resume and going through the interview process...these are not easy tasks. Start early and persevere; it will pay off.
