Being a Friend

Being a Friend

Friends are important at every stage in life. Whether it's an opinion on a new dress, an ear to hear about a new crush or just a shoulder to cry on, friends are there when you need them most.

Friends are also important if you are in a sticky or even dangerous situation. If you have a friend you think is in trouble, here are some tips:

  • Be a good listener--sometimes that's all someone wants.
  • Don't judge.
  • Offer advice, but don't tell someone what to do.
  • Ask how you can help, but don't push.
  • Encourage your friend to get help from an adult.
