Dear Women of Action,

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the JWI Women of Action Brief, your personal pipeline to the latest news from JWI. In this issue, we will update you on the 10th Anniversary Mother’s Day Flower Project, the launching of our Interfaith Domestic Violence Coalition, and other important work JWI is doing on behalf of women and girls around the world. You will also get exclusive information about Women to Watch 2008—as Women of Action, you are the first to learn about the amazing new group of women joining your ranks!

In the masthead of this newsletter, you can see the newly-created Women of Action logo and the following words: A Legacy of Leadership. As you know, being honored as a Woman to Watch is only the beginning. You are forever woven into the fabric of JWI—the strong, smart, successful Jewish women we see as our greatest natural resource. As a Woman of Action you can help us in tangible and meaningful ways to shape JWI going forward.

Building on the success of our Brain Power for Girl Power Think Tank last December at Women to Watch, we are taking the show on the road and taking another step forward in our commitment to Jewish girls by focusing in-depth on the key issues affecting them. Stay tuned for information in our June Brief about where and when the next Think Tank will take place and how you can be involved in this uniquely JWI initiative.

Warmest Regards,

Lori Weinstein
