Knowing the New IX: What survivors and their advocates need to know about DeVos' changes to Title IX

In the wake of a global pandemic that is turning the U.S. education upside down, Betsy DeVos' Department of Education finalized their harmful changes to Title IX. This 2,000+ page rule filled with legal jargon has major consequences for student survivors and the advocates that support them. But despite DeVos' insisting this rule has provided survivors with further clarity, many survivors and their advocates are more confused than ever before. This session will explore what changes the Title IX rule has made, what rights are still available for student survivors, and ways we can still support survivors despite the Department turning their back on students.
