Join YWIN Chicago to clean out your closet sustainably, find new additions to your wardrobe and make new friends over coffee and light brunch!
Attendees will bring their clothing items to be displayed and everyone will be able to see if there's anything they'd like to add to their wardrobes.
Plus, we will hear from Susan Freeman (bio below), who has worked in the sustainability department of Eileen Fisher, about how to shop sustainably and effectively donate clothing in the future, as well as David Kahan, the COO of WINGS.
Items that aren't taken by someone will be donated to WINGS, the largest domestic violence service provider in Chicago.

About the Speakers:
Susan Freeman
Susan Freeman is a Chicago-based Consultant at EY-Parthenon in their Value Creation group, with a focus on Consumer Product & Retail cost optimization, operational diligence, and supply chain. She holds an MBA from the Cornell Johnson College of Business, as well as a bachelor degree in Fiber Science & Apparel Design from Cornell University. Prior to earning her MBA, Susan worked as a buyer at Eileen Fisher in New York City. In her role as a buyer, she supported the US & International Retail Store businesses and helped launch the Eileen Fisher Renew line of recycled and upcycled EF garments across retail, wholesale and e-commerce channels.
David Kahan
David joined the WINGS Program Inc. in 2017. His responsibilities include oversight of Programs, Community Resources, Resale Operations, Logistics, Maintenance and Facility Operations. His team oversees the Safe Homes, Shared Homes, Community Based Services, Transitional Housing and Resale Stores. (Schaumburg, Niles, Arlington Heights) David has over thirty years of operational experience. David’s leadership and expertise have been crucial in augmenting the overall economic vitality of WINGS. David began his career in health administration. He directed daily operational activities of 700 intake and clinical personnel at contact centers in Illinois and California. David was responsible for ongoing improvement strategies to ensure sustained capabilities in people, processes and technology. David contributed heavily to the design and implementation of various strategic systems in telephony, preauthorization, clinical scripting, web portal development and review models. David also led key corporate real estate project expansions in Illinois and California. David received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois.
