Holding Space: A Virtual Support Group

In our recent national survey of young Jewish women, so many of you told us you wanted a dedicated space to process what it means to navigate life as a young Jewish woman right now.

That’s why JWI's Young Women’s Impact Network (YWIN) is launching Holding Space, a free, virtual support group for young Jewish women, facilitated by Sierra Schnitzer, LMHC. It’s designed to be a safe, supportive place to talk about what you’re experiencing, connect with others who understand, and take a breath together.

The Details

  • 📅 Fridays at 12 PM ET

    • Every other week to start: June 12, June 26, and July 10

    • Weekly beginning July 17

  • 💻 Zoom

  • 🎟️ Free

Holding Space is a drop-in series, so you can join when it works for you. Register below to receive the Zoom link, then join us for any of the upcoming gatherings.

What to Expect

We’ll gather midday to reset, connect, and head into the weekend together:

  • Grounding: We’ll begin with a brief, centering meditation.

  • Conversation: We'll talk about current realities, challenges, and shared experiences.

  • Closing: We’ll end with a moment to reflect before heading into the weekend.

Meet Your Facilitator

Sierra Schnitzer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and JWI’s Senior Director of Survivor Supports and Initiatives. As an educator and facilitator, she specializes in trauma-informed frameworks and empowerment models, helping people navigate difficult experiences with support, connection, and greater resilience.

Holding Space is intended for peer-to-peer connection and conversation, not clinical treatment.

We’re looking forward to holding this space with you.
