The Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable presents
Breaking the Silence: Addressing Suicide as the Leading Cause of Gun Deaths
Webinar Overview
Suicide is the leading cause of gun deaths in the United States, taking approximately 26,000 lives each year. Yet, despite its impact, it is often overlooked in conversations about gun violence. This webinar will bring together expert panelists to explore the data, risk factors, and consequences of firearm suicide. They will discuss how to recognize and support individuals of all ages struggling with suicidal thoughts and highlight tools to reduce access to guns and save lives. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the connection between mental health and gun violence, along with practical tools for prevention through education and advocacy.
