The Jewish Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable presents
Equipping Adults to Support Youth-Led Gun Violence Prevention
Webinar Overview
Gun violence prevention is one of the most urgent issues facing our communities today, and young people are leading powerful movements for change. This webinar is designed for Jewish community leaders, advocates, educators, faith leaders, professionals, non-religious individuals, and people of all faiths who are passionate about ending gun violence and looking to better understand how to thoughtfully and effectively support youth in this work.
Youth Alive! is a community-based organization that works to break cycles of gun violence by supporting and mentoring youth, preventing violence before it escalates, and helping survivors heal from trauma. Project Unloaded is a youth-focused organization that works to prevent gun violence by using creative campaigns, research, and peer engagement to empower teens to make informed choices and reject gun use.
While youth voices are at the forefront, meaningful progress requires intentional adult partnership. This session will explore how adults can show up responsibly by amplifying young people’s leadership without placing the burden of change on them. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the current youth gun violence prevention landscape, including key movements and the broader public policy context shaping this work.
Grounded in youth-informed approaches, the webinar will offer concrete, actionable strategies to help participants engage, support, and collaborate with young people in their own communities.
