Elvera Schwartz (President)
Elvera is an IT Product Supervisor at National Philanthropic Trust, a national donor-advised fund sponsor dedicated to increasing philanthropy in society and is in her second year serving the YWIN Philly network as President. Elvera received her BA in Communication Studies from James Madison University. Elvera lives in the Fairmount/Francisville neighborhood and in her free time, you can find her cooking, listening to podcasts, playing games, and exploring the city with her husband Dan, and pup, Gambino!
Alyssa Berman Bender
Philly is Alyssa’s soul city! Despite growing up in central CT, Alyssa is definitely a Philly girl. Alyssa lives in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood of Philadelphia with her husband, Justin, a proud Philly native. In her free time, she enjoys watching Philly sports, exploring the city’s incredible coffee shops and restaurants, crafting (fun fact: she embroiders and makes stained glass art!), and taking long walks that usually end with water ice or ice cream. Ask her about the importance of philanthropy as young Jewish women, coffee, sports or her obsession with nuuly!
Alyssa Green
Alyssa is an Assistant Director of Development at Penn Medicine and is in her second year on the YWIN Philly board. She received her bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Studies at Penn State and master’s in Nonprofit Leadership at Penn. Alyssa lives in Logan Square and in her free time, you can find her looking for the best ice cream in Philly, people watching on the Schuylkill trail, going to a concert, or bopping around the city with friends.
Sarah Pincus
Sarah is a Health Policy and Regulatory Affairs Manager at OCHIN, a nonprofit healthcare innovation center that partners with community health centers and safety-net providers nationwide. She holds a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University and a Master of Science from Brandeis University. Sarah previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru where she supported community health initiatives focused on women and children. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cooking, and crocheting.
Jen Rosen
Jen lives in Fairmount with her two cats Romy and Vera, where she is attempting to master the art of container gardening. A recovering educator, she now works in the corporate professional development space for a management consulting firm. Outside of YWIN (where she is returning for her 4th year on the board), she is an avid thrifter, a seasoned bread baker, and a lover of a hot girl walk & dinner (AKA a long stroll to get a caesar salad and fries!).
Jen Vise
Jen is a nurse practitioner at Penn Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Skidmore College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, Jen has lived in Philly for nine years. In her free time, you can find her watching or attending sporting events, taking a run in the city, trying a new restaurant or recipe in the kitchen, or playing with her puppy Barkley.
Rachel Yakobashvili
Rachel lives in Fishtown and is the Director of Impact & Quality at Friendship Place (a homelessness services provider) as well as the Director of Programs & Partnerships at Dinah (a Jewish domestic violence organization). In addition to serving on the YWIN Philly board (for the fourth year), she serves on the board at the Abington Friends School and regularly volunteers at the Jewish Relief Agency.
Jenny Oswald (President Emeritus)
Talia Azour
Talia is currently a Lead Product Manager at Lime. She builds better consumer experiences for new and existing users. Her focus includes new experiences and overseeing app quality. Talia has built a career in product management working with market place, SaaS, and advertising businesses. On the side, Talia stays active in leading the SF JWIYWIN chapter, developing events through Google’s Women in Tech program, and mentoring young females interested in joining the industry. Talia is based in San Francisco, but was born and raised in NYC. She is an avid traveler and huge foodie!
Jennifer Hazan
Jen is a 29-year-old South Florida native who moved to the SF Bay area as a travel nurse in 2019. Jennifer is a passionate nurse who loves to help others. Currently, she lives with her boyfriend in Cow Hollow and works at Stanford Children’s Hospital as a pediatric nurse. In her free time, Jen enjoys meeting new people, spending time with loved ones, travel, concerts, game nights, and anything food related. She looks forward to joining the board of JWI and enriching the lives of Jewish women in the Bay Area!

Sabra Mwaura is a multi-talented marketer, avid traveler, and lifelong learner. With a passion for creativity and innovation, Sabra has carved a successful career in marketing, working with top brands in various industries. When she's not busy crafting marketing campaigns, Sabra can be found exploring new cultures and cuisines, adding to her diverse list of travel destinations. She also enjoys photography, dancing, and reading to stay balanced and focused. With a growth mindset and a thirst for knowledge, Sabra is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to expand her skills and expertise.
Eva Farber (President)
Eva is passionate about building community, fostering meaningful connections, and strengthening ties within the Jewish community. While studying at Michigan State University, she served as a Hillel intern, deepening her involvement in Jewish life on campus. Her commitment grew further through her participation in the Onward Masa program during the summer of her junior year, where she developed a deeper connection to the global Jewish community.
Now based in Chicago, Eva is an active member of MEMGlobal and hosts events through her Moishe Pod, welcoming others into her home to celebrate Jewish life and culture. She is eager to continue expanding her network, meeting new people, and cultivating unity among Jewish women across the city.
Professionally, Eva has worked in strategy consulting, with a focus on the technology, non-profit, and higher education sectors. Outside of work, she enjoys playing padel, traveling, and diving into a good book.
Emily Chaiet
Emily has always had a passion for surrounding herself within the Jewish community, specifically connecting with Jewish women. She was previously involved with Chicago’s JUF chapter, Northwestern Hillel and served on the board for Northwestern Challah for Hunger. She is an advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, and she hopes to emphasize these passions through her programming work on the board. In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, playing pickleball and tennis, reading and traveling. Since moving to Chicago in 2020, she has sought opportunities to connect with other Jewish women in the area which led her to join the YWIN.
Elise Goldstein
Elise has always been a strong connector and communicator and first learned of JWI while living in Washington, DC. She was excited to remain connected to the organization when she moved to Chicago in 2022. Elise has always been involved with efforts to strengthen Jewish communities – from involvement with JCC’s Camp Seneca Lake to attending Jewish United Fund events to running the Chicago Marathon with Team Sharsheret. Outside of Chicago YWIN, Elise works for United Airlines in communications and marketing. She enjoys travel, being outside and spending time with friends. Originally from Cherry Hill, NJ, Elise went to University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a degree in journalism.
Karin Eig
Born in Israel and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Karin is a proud Jewish woman with Ukrainian roots that have shaped her deep love for tradition and community. Her connection to Judaism grew through ten summers at JCC Camp Chi, years in BBYO, and serving on the Sigma Delta Tau board at the University of Illinois. Now living in Chicago, Karin is excited to keep building Jewish community as a board member of JWI’s Young Women’s Impact Network. She is a speech-language pathologist and loves yoga, reading, and spending time with her family!
Dani Harkavy
Dani has always been involved in her local Jewish community, both in the Chicago suburbs and throughout her four years at the University of Michigan. She is excited to strengthen these connections as a member of the YWIN Chicago board. Dani has worked as a physical therapist in Chicago for the past 2.5 years after graduating from Northwestern University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, walking, cooking and trying all of Chicago’s newest restaurants!
Anna Cecilia Rosenkranz
Anna Ceci is a first generation American whose parents moved to Chicago from Mexico City. Anna Ceci has always been proudly rooted in her Jewish identity and holds a passion for sharing her background and history with those around her in order to create informed dialogue and combat inaccurate stereotypes.
Hannah Spevak
From 13 summers at Beber camp to facilitating Jewish affinity groups and to being a member of Sigma Delta Tau at the university of Illinois , Hannah has always been passionate about furthering social justice through a Jewish lens. Hannah is a social worker who seeks to amplify women’s voices and advocate for their experiences in her personal and professional life. These areas culminated in 2017 when Hannah spent the summer in Israel volunteering for a Women’s empowerment organization that lobbied for increasing women’s involvement in the Israeli government. Her many endeavors in the Jewish community and in women’s advocacy work have lead her to join the YWIN board in Chicago.
Eliza Sherman (President Emeritus)
Building community and giving back have always been an important part of Eliza’s life. As a member of Sigma Delta Tau, Eliza learned about JWI’s mission, but became more involved upon moving to Chicago in 2021.She is honored and excited to serve as the Chicago YWIN chapter’s President this year. Eliza is a Senior Associate in Global Culture at KPMG, supporting the firm globally on promoting its purpose and values. At KPMG, she helped to found the Jewish Ancestry Business Resource Group, unifying nearly a thousand Jewish employees and allies through educational programming about Jewish culture
Lilli Cohen (President)
Lilli is a writer, blogger, and marketing specialist from Worcester, MA, where she began her journey in Jewish leadership as social action chair of her local USY chapter. She graduated Emerson College with a BS in Journalism, rediscovering her joy for Jewish community development as Marketing & Development Associate at the Worcester JCC. This year, moving to Somerville for her new role as Marketing & Communications Coordinator for the Rabb School at Brandeis University, Lilli sought out to make her own personal Jewish community, finding connection at JWI. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, write, collage, and try new food spots around the city.
Danielle Doyle (Vice President)
Danielle grew up in Connecticut, pursued a degree in Psychology at Northeastern University in Boston and a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Southern California. Danielle currently serves as the Director of Talent Acquisition at a Marketing Tech company, and loves building strong connections and meaningful relationships with those around her. She loves building Jewish community wherever she goes and has a deep connection to Israel.
Danielle stumbled upon JWI in early 2025, and quickly developed an interest in becoming a part of this amazing organization. Danielle lives in Rhode Island with her husband Brian, and two mini goldendoodles Reggie and Gus. In her spare time, she loves distance running, spending time with family, and trying new Israeli restaurants.
Susannah Alfred (YWIN Representative, Board of Trustees)
Susannah is a proud Midwesterner from Rochester, MN. She made her way to the East Coast to attend Connecticut College where she became more deeply engaged with Judaism through her four years on Hillel's executive board and through her religious studies classes. After moving to Boston for work in 2017, she made it her mission to help foster a sense of Jewish community in her new home. In 2022, Susannah received her MBA from Brandeis' Heller School for Social Policy and Management along with a Master’s in Jewish Professional Leadership. Susannah now works in consulting and is honored to serve the Boston chapter of YWIN as a founding member and President.
Sophie Handloff
Sophie is a New England transplant who was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. She moved to Burlington, Vermont to earn her bachelor’s degree in Public Health, and later moved to Boston to pursue her doctorate in occupational therapy. While in graduate school, Sophie discovered YWIN Boston and quickly built many meaningful connections, helping her shape a new Jewish community in the city. She now works as an occupational therapist at an inpatient rehab hospital north of Boston. Outside of work, Sophie can usually be found wandering the aisles at Trader Joe’s, hiking in the White Mountains, hosting Shabbat dinners, or doing yoga. She is honored to join the board and looks forward to helping grow and strengthen Boston’s young Jewish community.
Samantha Kraus
Sam was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston. She earned a B.S. in Health Sciences and Communication from the University of Hartford and is working on her Master’s in Public Health Education. Her goal is to become a certified health education specialist. Sam’s motto is to ‘make her mess, her message’. Throughout my graduate studies, Sam has been published in Cope Magazine and has been a contributor for a book about chronic illnesses. Judaism is a core value for Sam as most of her life revolved around Jewish Day School, Jewish Summer Camps, BBYO and Hillel. She served on the boards respectively for her BBYO chapter and University of Hartford Hillel. As Tzedek chair with Hillel, she found the intersection between Judaism and public health through all sorts of community outreach. In her free time, Sam enjoys scrapbooking, archery and spending time with her village.
Eli Lovich
Eli loves three things: the outdoors, her dog, and being Jewish. Outgoing by nature, she strives to build community and is a world champion at Jewish geography! As a Boston native, Eli grew up in the Modern Orthodox community, attending Jewish day schools in the fall and Ramah Rockies in the summer. A Brandeis alumna, Eli lives in Cambridge with her dog, Pebbles (who recently had her "Bark Mitzvah") and works in pharmaceutical marketing. Eli's favorite holiday is Passover, and her favorite restaurant is Dunkin' Donuts. In her free time, you can find her backcountry skiing, crafting, or biking!
Claire Siege
Claire is from Amherst, MA and she went to Wellesley College. She has loved being involved in her Jewish community since high school when she started going to USY events. In college she was very involved in Hillel. Since college she has worked in biotechnology at the Broad Institute and Thermo Fisher. Also, she just completed her masters degree in bioinformatics at Northeastern! In her free time she loves running, binging TV shows, and baking. She is so excited to be a part of YWIN and serve on the board as the co-social chair.
Tamara Stein-Botteri
Tamara grew up in Northern Virginia and came to the Boston area to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Brandeis University. She now works in grants management and community engagement with a regional education compact. She is looking forward to building a strong Jewish community through JWI and is honored to be joining the Boston board. During her spare time, Tamara can be found enjoying a good book or practicing salsa dancing.
Natalie Yosipovitch
Building community has always been at the center of Natalie's life. Through her work in philanthropy, education, and community engagement, she has helped organizations strengthen their impact and bring people together around shared goals and values.
Natalie currently serves as a Program Associate at the Ruderman Family Foundation, where she supports philanthropic initiatives focused on wellbeing and Jewish community impact.
She lives in the Boston area with her husband, Ben. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys traveling, testing her limits in CrossFit, dancing, and exploring local cafés and bakeries.
Melissa Oxenhandler (Co-President)
Melissa is a leadership development and Jewish non-profit professional, going into her third year on the JWI Denver board and first as co-president. Melissa has a passion for community building and development, serving full time as the Senior Regional Director for Rocky Mountain Region BBYO, and part time as an indoor cycling instructor at CycleBar. Melissa was born and raised in Colorado Springs and is a graduate of University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied Advertising and Religious Studies. She spends her free time exploring all the live music and outdoor activities Denver has to offer with her fiancé Zach, or snuggling at home with their cat, Nutella.
Alli Slaten (Co-President)
Allison is going into her third year on the Denver JWI board and is so excited to be returning as co-president this time. A Colorado native, she attended Colorado State University to study business. She currently works in healthcare software focusing on strategy and how to better connect doctors with health insurers. In her free time, Allison is doing pilates, exploring a farmers market, or hanging out with her fiancé Pierre and dog Jules.
Rosalie Baseman
Rosalie Baseman is an ambitious and multidisciplinary artist, creative, and young professional with over seven years of experience in strategic communication, global public relations, digital marketing, etc., and over a decade of making art out of life!
Et en plus — she’s multi-lingual (fluent in French and learning Hebrew, Italian & Spanish, among other languages). Originally from Philadelphia, PA and now residing in Denver, CO, Rosalie currently serves as the Communications Manager at Colorado Ballet, which is a dream job she is profoundly grateful to have manifested. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a qualifying member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society from University of Delaware with a dual honors B.A. degree in Interpersonal Communication and French Language & Culture, and a minor in Fashion History & Culture. She is a self-taught jewelry designer and avid bead collector.
Amy Friedman
Amy Friedman is a product design leader based in Denver and is excited to be joining the JWI YWIN board for her first year. Originally from the East Coast, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and her Master’s in Tangible Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University. Amy brings over a decade of experience shaping B2B user experiences and leading high-impact design teams. Outside of work, you’ll find her skiing, golfing, hitting Barry’s, or planning her next travel adventure.
Sydney Gart
Sydney has focused her career on political fundraising and strategy. After attending American University, Sydney remained in Washington D.C., working on various Democratic political campaigns. Recently, she returned home to Denver. A fourth-generation Colorado native, you can likely find her in a Soul Cycle class, testing a new recipe for Shabbat, on a hiking trail or hitting the ski slopes.
Sarah Knaster
Sarah is a marketing leader at a software company, bringing a creative edge to her work through a background in design. Her passion for storytelling and community building fuels her role on the Denver Young Women’s Impact board, where she’s committed to empowering women and supporting meaningful causes. A first-generation American, Sarah’s connection to her Israeli roots led to her leadership as president of Students Supporting Israel (SSI) in college and continues to drive her to making impact in her community through ongoing volunteer work. Outside of work, you’ll likely find her at a concert, hiking Colorado trails, or eating pistachio ice cream.
Adrienne Kronovet
Adrienne is entering her second year on the Denver JWI board. A North Carolina native, she is the founder of Ameliora, a women’s clothing brand blending heritage tailoring with modern performance. Adrienne is focused on empowering women through quality, machine-washable wardrobe staples. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, spending time with friends, and exploring all Denver has to offer.
Abby Matlin
Abby has worked in the tech industry for over six years and currently calls Colorado home after several years living in Tel Aviv. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from Towson University and recently completed a Human Resources Management program through Cornell University. Abby is an avid runner currently training for the NYC Marathon and is passionate about community building and women's empowerment. This is her second year serving on the JWI YWIN board.
Alissa Neubauer
Alissa has spent the last three years with Jewish Women International and is honored to be part of such a powerful network of women working to uplift and support one another. When she’s not planning and attending JWI events, Alissa works as a mental health therapist based in Denver, where she’s called home for the past four years. Originally from Philadelphia, she also spent a meaningful chapter of her life living in Israel, which continues to shape how she connects with community and culture.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her outdoors enjoying the Colorado sunshine, crocheting something cozy, tending to her garden, or hanging out with her dog, Murphy!
Taylor Ross (President)
Taylor Ross is thrilled to be the president of the YWIN chapter for NYC for her third year having been a member since 2018. A graduate of Muhlenberg College with a degree in theater and vocal performance, Taylor also has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Drexel University and a professional certification in Philanthropy and Non-Profit Fundraising from Northwestern University. She currently works for Temple Emanu-El as the Assistant Director of Development and is very active in the NYC Jewish social scene. She received the Women in Development of New York Rising Star Award for 2025 for at their Women of Achievement luncheon. When not raising money, you can find her frequenting NYC’s cultural institutions and the Bronx Zoo, as well as at a live performance event or concert and the lights on Broadway.
Hannah Greenwald (Co-Vice President)
Hannah Greenwald is excited to join the NYC YWIN Board this year and help build a meaningful community in New York City. A longtime supporter of JWI, Hannah has worked on issues of domestic violence throughout her career and has been engaged with NYC YWIN events since 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Psychology from the University of Rochester and a Master’s degree in International Development and Gender from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is also an alumna of the JDC Global Jewish Service Corps, having served in Rwanda from 2017 to 2020 as the Public Health Fellow at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. Hannah currently works in business development at HIAS, a nonprofit supporting refugee communities in the U.S. and around the world. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, skiing, going to concerts, walking around NYC, and watching a lot of Netflix!

Lauren Kravec (Co-Vice President)
Lauren is so excited to join the JWI YWIN NYC board after participating in events for the last year. Having grown up in Florida, she is a "Reverse Snowbird", first studying journalism and integrated marketing at Northwestern University and now calling NYC home for the last six years.
Outside of JWI, she is a media strategist at WPP Media. In her spare time, she enjoys reading on the subway, punching things at a Rumble class, or watching sports (especially hockey!)
Hannah Daiell
Hannah Daiell is excited to join the NYC YWIN Board this year and help support this wonderful community in New York City. Hannah has been involved with JWI for the past year. She believes that all women should feel empowered to be in control of their own finances. Hannah works in Finance and is so excited to be the Finance Chair. She has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Florida, where she also studied math and dance. In her free time, she loves doing DanceBody workouts, curling up with a good book, and spending time with her friends and family. She lives in Queens with her husband.
Quinn Filler
Quinn Filler is delighted to join the YWIN NYC board for her first year. She loves attending JWI events and making new friends in her community, so she views it as an honor to serve alongside the inspiring women of this group.
Quinn moved to the area to work in Risk Management after graduating from Brandeis University in 2023. In her free time, Quinn loves reading, attending spin classes, and taking in the city through concerts, museum visits, and any other cultural opportunity.
Stefanie Haft
Stefanie Haft is excited to join the JWI YWIN NYC board for 2026-2027. She has been an active attendee at events for the past few years and is looking forward to engaging with attendees this upcoming year. Stefanie previously served on the board of the Young Leadership of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey. Stefanie received her bachelor's degree from UMASS Amherst and completed her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology at Seton Hall University. She works as a speech language pathologist at the Mount Sinai Hospital where she specializes in outpatient neuro-rehabilitation. She also works as an adjunct clinical instructor at Seton Hall University. Outside of work, you can catch her at the gym, an art museum or extending her Duolingo Spanish streak.
Rachel Goldberg (President)
Rachel Goldberg currently works in customer experience for a biotech company. Rachel is passionate about Israel, and worked for several Jewish non-profits in the Boston area coordinating an initiative called Boston Partners for Peace to promote and educate about Israelis and Palestinians working together on grassroots projects to promote peace. Rachel started her career as the Director of Community Relations at the Consulate General of Israel to New England. In her free time, Rachel loves to volunteer, engage with Jewish communities, play her banjo, and bike around DC.
Madison Weiss (Vice President)
As a native Californian, Madison earned her bachelor’s degree in social sciences with an emphasis in psychology from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles and moved to Washington, D.C., in 2017, where she earned her master’s degree in educational transformation at Georgetown University. She is currently a senior policy analyst for Higher Education Policy at the Center for American Progress.
Madison found herself looking for a greater connection to the Jewish community and is excited to serve on the board of DC YWIN chapter. Her favorite things to do in Washington include shopping at her local farmers market and taking long walks throughout the city with friends.
Leila Gordon
Leila Gordon currently serves as the Assistant Director of Religious Education at Washington Hebrew Congregation, and has been living in DC for three years. In her role at WHC she gets to work with students ranging from Pre-K through high school seniors, and she loves serving the Jewish community here in DC. Prior to her move, she lived in Boston and went to grad school at Brandeis University for Jewish Education and Nonprofit work. Leila is a Philly native, a HUGE Phillies fan, and enjoys running and reality TV. She is excited to be serving on the DC YWIN board, and hopes to meet an ever growing community and network of young Jewish women that feel passionate about creating connections and fostering community.
Madison Hankin
Madison is an oncology social worker based in Washington, DC, where she has been living for the past two years. Originally from San Diego, she made her way east for school, attending Michigan State University for undergrad and Columbia University for graduate studies. Madison is passionate about walking alongside individuals and families navigating cancer care and values connection, empathy, and compassion in her work. Outside of her professional life, you can find Madison trying a new restaurant, planning her next trip, reading a great book, or taking a long walk around town.

Sara Parower
Sara is from Connecticut and made her way to the Midwest, studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received degrees in political science and business. She lives in D.C. and works in government affairs. Sara is passionate about creating community and excited to be a member of the YWIN D.C. board. When she isn't working, Sara can be found trying new restaurants, playing pickleball and spending time with friends.
Vanessa Robin
Vanessa holds a BA in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MSW from Columbia University. A former teacher in DC public and charter schools, she followed her passion for social work and mental health, serving as a birth parent counselor at Adoptions Together during graduate school. She later worked as a school counselor at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, where she deepened her connection to Jewish education and community life. Vanessa is currently the middle school counselor at Maret School in Washington, DC, where she also leads the Jewish student and faculty affinity groups, creating spaces for reflection, celebration, and connection. She is passionate about educational equity and community empowerment, serving on the board of Fundación CEIBA, which provides scholarships for students in Puerto Rico, and leading workshops for Health by All Means, a nonprofit that partners with women and girls in rural Kenya to promote health education and human rights. In her free time, Vanessa enjoys yoga, baking challah, and spending time with family and friends.
Bari Sigal
Bari Sigal is an enthusiastic and mission‑driven Jewish nonprofit professional committed to strengthening community, elevating women’s leadership, and advancing meaningful philanthropic impact. She currently serves as the Senior Development Associate for Major Gifts at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, where she manages donor stewardship, leads prospect research, and supports strategic fundraising initiatives that drive organizational growth.
She holds an MA in Jewish Nonprofit Management from the Zelikow School and a BA in Jewish Studies with a Business minor from the University of Kansas. Bari is also an alum of the iFellows Israel Education fellowship and has participated in multiple national Jewish leadership cohorts. She is passionate about cultivating spaces where women lead boldly, support one another, and shape the future of Jewish life.

Rina Harosh (President)
Rina Harosh is president of the San Diego chapter of the Young Women’s Impact Network. She brings experience in executive planning, program management, and learning and development programs. In her free time, Rina enjoys staying active through yoga, Pilates, and spending time outdoors.
Ariel Haus
Ariel is excited to return to the San Diego board. Originally from Riverside, she has lived in San Diego for seven years and is grateful to be part of the JWI YWIN community. She looks forward to another great year!
Rebecca Knaus
Rebecca Knaus has spent most of her life in San Diego, being born and raised in East County. In their professional journey, Rebecca has been an esthetician for over 13 years. At her core, she’s enthusiastic about empowering women to gain financial independence, and reach their goals. In her off-time, she enjoys quiet nights in with her husband, her cats, and a stack of good books.
Alex Raphael (President Emeritus)
Alex was born and raised in Colorado. She moved to San Diego from Washington D.C. in 2021. She is currently working as a clinical research coordinator in the field of maternal-child health. This is her third year on the YWIN San Diego board and she is thrilled to continue growing the community and meeting fellow Jewish women. Outside of work and YWIN, Alex enjoys spending time with her dog, running, yoga, cooking, and searching for the best bagel in San Diego.
Samantha Schafrank (President)
Samantha is originally from outside Philadelphia and attended Duke University. During her time at Duke, she connected more deeply with Judaism than ever before, spending many days and nights at Hillel. Following graduation, Samantha worked in advertising in New York and made it her mission to stack rank the city's best bagels (#1 is Kossar's). She then enrolled at Wharton for her MBA and found herself in Seattle after. Samantha has been a member of the Seattle board since 2023 and loves to create space for Jewish traditions. She is now the president of YWIN Seattle. You can find her hosting Shabbat dinners, taking 1000s of pictures of her nice Jewish dog, Jake, and paddle boarding on Seattle lakes.
Jordan Berger
Jordan Berger was born and raised in Indiana and moved to New York for college, law school, and the start of her career before making her way to Seattle, which she now happily calls home. She is a graduate of Cornell University and NYU School of Law and works as a plaintiff-side employment lawyer. Since moving to Seattle, Jordan has loved becoming part of the vibrant Jewish community she has found through YWIN and is excited to continue giving back and building meaningful connections. When she is not working or planning events for YWIN, Jordan can be found hanging out with Sadie, her 10-pound dog, traveling, exploring farmers markets, or spending time with friends.
Danielle Flatt-Eisenberg
Danielle grew up in Los Angeles, CA, but has lived most of her adult life in Seattle. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and her JD from Seattle University School of Law. Danielle is enthusiastic about JWI's mission and vision, and is excited to help Jewish women come together, uplift one another, and strengthen their communities through YWIN. In her free time, Danielle can often be found sewing or crafting, listening to audiobooks or podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.
Julia Katz
Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, Julia has lived in Southern California and North Carolina before moving to Seattle in 2023 to work for the State Department of Health. Inspired by her time being a Resident at Moishe House in Irvine, CA and participating in Jewish Long Beach's Alpert New Leaders Forum, she became involved in YWIN to foster Jewish community in Seattle. Julia is an alumna of UNC Chapel Hill and California State University, Long Beach. In her free time, Julia enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with loved ones, particularly her dog, Milo.
Zoë
Zoë grew up in the Bay Area, but since college, has made the Pacific Northwest her home. She graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and later earned a master's degree from the University of Washington's School of Social Work. Zoë now works in the mental health field, providing ongoing support to those seeking care.
After discovering YWIN through a OneTable event, Zoë found a deep appreciation for the community that YWIN fostered and wanted to help carry that mission forward by joining the board in 2026.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her cat, Ash. She also loves writing creative stories and making time for her newest hobby: bookbinding.
Heather Reiter
Heather Reiter grew up in Morris Plains, NJ, and has always had a passion for numbers and technology. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Accounting and recently earned a master's degree in Technology Management from Georgetown University. Heather works in tax technology, where she combines her love for finance and tech to create innovative solutions.
Heather got involved with JWI after attending a few events in Seattle and wanting to become more engaged with the local Jewish community. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, walking, live music, and hosting dinner parties. Heather loves exploring new places, meeting new people, and sharing good food and music with friends and family.
Aubrey Shanks
Aubrey grew up on Mercer Island, WA and later graduated from the University of Washington. She still resides in the Seattle area and works as a real estate agent with the goal of helping people feel warmly welcomed into the community. By joining the JWI YWIN board in 2023, she continues this goal by deepening her connections within the Jewish community which she proudly supports. Aubrey is a member and a volunteer for a number of different local, national, and worldwide Jewish organizations that allow her to grow and give back in ways most meaningful to her. In her free time, Aubrey enjoys baking for friends and family, spending time in her garden, exploring the Pacific Northwest while trying new hikes, and going to concerts where she dances her heart out.
Sari Weinstein
Sari Weinstein is a 3rd generation Seattle native, a part of one of the first Sephardic families in Seattle, and is an Israeli Citizen who is very active in the Seattle Jewish community. She grew up in Bellevue, going to Herzl-Ner Tamid and was very active in USY as well as went on the Israel gap year program, Nativ, through the USCJ. She continues to participate in multiple organizations in Seattle including YWIN, JConnect, Moishe House, and is a current member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Seattle, and a board member of the Hillel of the University of Washington as well is a member-at-large of the Jewish Community Relations Council.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family and with her dog Ori, as well as play and teach Mah Jongg, travel, tend to her large plant collection, watch movies, and bake. She is very excited to join the Seattle chapter of the Young Women’s Impact Network for 2025-2026 and to continue to make an impact within the Seattle Jewish community.
Samantha Wilker
Samantha (the other one) is a transplant to Seattle via New Jersey, Miami, Philadelphia, and most recently Washington DC. After growing up in an incredibly strong Jewish community in Bergen County, NJ, she completed here Bachelor’s from the University of Miami. After graduation, she went on to complete two Masters degrees in Clinical Psychology and School Psychology. During the COVID Pandemic, she decided to explore a career in Fashion and Merchandising - a long time hobby and passion of hers. This brought her to Seattle to continue her career in Fashion and Beauty Buying. After finding such a strong sense of community and belonging, and taking comfort being surrounded by Jewish values, Samantha joined the Seattle YWIN board in 2025. When she isn’t ogling over the latest runways, you can find her baking or cooking, going for too-long walks around Lake Union, or trying to grow herbs in her apartment.
Lindsay
Lindsay originally hails from Connecticut and graduated from Cornell University and Erasmus University Rotterdam with degrees in urban planning. After her master’s program in the Netherlands, Lindsay gradually moved further west - she began her career in New York and spent two years in Chicago before settling in Seattle in 2021.
Lindsay feels very fortunate to have met several of her closest friends in Seattle by attending Jewish community events and feels at home in the PNW. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys exploring neighborhoods and parks, photography, and trying different types of cuisines. Lindsay loves bringing people together and is excited to contribute to the vibrant YWIN community.
Elizabeth Slotnick (President Emeritus & YWIN Representative, Board of Trustees)
Originally from Richmond, VA, Elizabeth has lived in the DC area, San Francisco, and Seattle before settling in northern New Jersey. She first got involved with YWIN in San Francisco and, after moving to Seattle in 2020, launched YWIN Seattle to fill the gap she felt without a strong young Jewish women’s community. To further engage locally, she became a 2024 Leadership Fellow with the Seattle Foundation's Courageous Leadership Incubator. Outside her Jewish community work, Elizabeth is a Senior Sales Manager at Oracle and a University of Virginia alumna.
Lauren Rosenblum (President)
Lauren Rosenblum was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Indiana University in 2011 with a degree in Jewish Studies. Lauren currently is the Manager of Graduate Education Programs at Hebrew Union College after a number of years working in Jewish social service organizations across the west coast. Outside of work, Lauren loves going on walks, reading, and cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers! Lauren loves being a part of the JWI board and helping build community through shared values and interests.
Ellen Borenstein
Ellen Borenstein is an educator at the Museum of Tolerance, where she helps visitors connect deeply with history, advocacy, and social responsibility. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Antisemitism Studies. Prior to living in Los Angeles, Ellen spent a decade residing abroad in Rome and Toronto, which sparked her passion for global cultures and community building. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Rights and Equity Studies from York University and an Associate of Arts from The American University of Rome. Ellen is thrilled to join the board of the JWI Young Women’s Impact Network L.A. chapter to help build a vibrant, supportive network for local Jewish women. In her free time, you can find her hunting down authentic Italian and Mexican food, laughing at bad dad jokes, or working on her latest crochet project.
Shir Davidovicz
Shir Davidovicz is an established commercial litigator representing businesses and individual clients in both state and federal courts, with a focus on entertainment disputes and complex commercial disputes.
Shir graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in political science. She served on the inaugural board of Berkeley’s Challah for Hunger Chapter and served as Fellow for the Helen Diller Institute for Jewish Law and Israel Studies at the Berkeley School of Law. She received her Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center. During that time, she was a student advocate for Georgetown Law’s International Women’s Human Rights Clinic, served on the Student Bar Association, and was a member of the Barristers’ Council. Early in her career, she interned with the Legal Office of the Supreme Court and worked on appellate matters at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
After moving back to her native Los Angeles in 2022, Shir found community with the Los Angeles chapter of YWIN and has proudly served on the Board for the past several years. In her free time, you can find her watching her beloved Dodgers or Lakers and exploring Israeli and Jewish restaurants in the broader Los Angeles area.
Heather Epstein
Heather grew up in Orange County, CA, and now lives in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Journalism, and also holds a Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership from The Ohio State University. Heather currently works in Marketing at American Honda.
In her free time, outside of attending JWI events, Heather also enjoys photography, live music, trying out new restaurants, and riding on her Peloton!
Erin Horwitz
Erin Horwitz is a senior marketing manager at Walker & Dunlop. In her current role, she develops and implements the content marketing strategy for Walker & Dunlop’s affordable housing, small balance and investment management business lines. Prior to Walker & Dunlop, Erin worked at AIPAC, where she strengthened her passion for advocacy and learned firsthand the power each person has to make a difference. Erin graduated from the University of Oregon with degrees in public relations and political science and enjoys cheering for the ducks every chance she gets. Outside of work, Erin can be found reading, exploring new workout studios, or baking challah. She currently serves as president of the JWI Young Women’s Impact Network in Los Angeles and is a member of the governing board of the Oregon Hillel Foundation.
Bria Rosenberg
Bria Rosenberg is a Los Angeles-native marketing professional and travel advisor. She graduated from UC Berkeley with dual degrees in Business Administration and Political Economy. Bria has always been involved in Jewish activities, working at her Hebrew school growing up, volunteering with Challah for Hunger in college and working for Berkeley Hillel, as well as volunteering with Repair the World throughout college and post-grad. JWI holds a special place in Bria’s heart as her grandmother used to be the president of the Los Angeles chapter, and Bria has fond memories of going to JWI luncheons and events as a child with her grandma. In her free time, you can find Bria at the beach, on a hike, or trying new restaurants around LA.
Leigh Shane
Leigh Shane is a senior social media strategist at AMFM Healthcare, where she leads digital strategy across all social media platforms, content strategy, influencer marketing, and online reputation initiatives for the organization’s treatment brands and parent company. Prior to AMFM Healthcare, Leigh served as a senior content strategist at Method+Mastery, where she developed content and campaign strategies for global brands including IBM Consulting, Google, YouTube, and Android.
With more than a decade of experience in digital marketing, Leigh is passionate about helping organizations tell meaningful stories, build engaged communities, and connect with people in authentic ways. Throughout her career, she has specialized in creating data-driven strategies that strengthen brand visibility while supporting broader business goals.
In addition to her professional work, Leigh has taught digital marketing as an adjunct professor at San Diego State University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also led a mock agency program that paired students with minority-owned businesses, helping future marketers gain hands-on experience while supporting their local communities.
A Los Angeles native, Leigh enjoys weightlifting, comedy shows, concerts, as well as,participating in multiple book clubs, and bringing people together through cooking/ hosting Shabbat dinners. She believes in the power of meaningful connections and creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and inspired. Leigh is proud to serve on the JWI Young Women’s Impact Network Los Angeles Board and is passionate about empowering women leaders and strengthening community engagement.
Claudia Gellman (President)
Claudia Gellman works at OneTable, where she helps engage Jewish young adults in their 20s and 30s by empowering them to host meaningful Shabbat dinners and build lasting community. Passionate about connection and hospitality, she develops partnerships and engagement strategies that make Jewish life more accessible, welcoming, and relationship-driven. Based in Delray Beach, Florida, Claudia enjoys cooking, baking, playing mahjong, water aerobics, visiting farmers markets, volunteering, attending live music events, and spending time with her husband and their dog, Bumper.
Jillian Perdek
Jillian is a born and raised South Florida native who attended the University of Central Florida, where she earned a degree in Entertainment Management. After college, she transitioned into commercial real estate finance and now specializes in debt placement, helping clients structure and source capital.
Jordyn Sable
Jordyn elementary educator and the Coordinator of Exceptional Student Education at my school in Palm Beach County. She is a proud graduate of the University of Central Florida. She was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio but I am grateful to now call Florida home. Judaism is a central part of my life and has helped shape my values and sense of community. Jordyn is passionate about creating opportunities for women in their 20s through 30s to connect, learn, and grow together. She believes strong communities help women thrive personally, professionally, and spiritually.
Shayna Zipper
Shayna is a critical care Neuro ICU nurse, Nurse Practitioner student, and Alzheimer's advocate. Her connection to Judaism grew through her years as a JCC camp counselor and her participation in the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County's LEAP program, where she graduated as part of the third cohort. She is passionate about Jewish leadership, fostering Jewish pride, and bringing people together through community and service.
Shayna lives in Boca Raton with her husband and their two dogs, a Bernedoodle and a Morkie. As a member of the inaugural board of JWI YWIN South Florida, she is excited to help create meaningful opportunities for young Jewish women to build relationships, strengthen their identities, and make an impact in their community.
Malorie Snitil
Malorie Snitil is a Florida native and proud double FSU alum (Go Noles). She has 2 cats and 1 puppy. She works in social media for a large tech client and has a passion for hockey, pop culture, and true crime! Malorie was involved with BBYO growing up and Hillel during college and have been looking for ways to get closer to my Jewish identity as an adult. She has been a Jewish Changemaker, attended the General Assembly and lobbying day in D.C, and am excited to continue to expand my involvement within the local Jewish community.
