JWI was the first Jewish organization to publicly support the Equal Rights Amendment in 1972.

For more than 50 years JWI has advocated fervently for women’s equality, abortion justice, and women’s healthcare by making our voices heard at rallies, hosting bi-annual advocacy days, sending hundreds of emails to members of Congress to codify Roe v. Wade, and hosting educational reproductive justice.

JWI has spent the past three decades working to prevent gun violence in all its forms, while centering the unique needs of domestic violence survivors.

JWI has built more than 80 children’s libraries in domestic violence shelters nationwide to provide comforting, safe spaces for the shelters’ youngest residents, and plans to build ## more by 2023.

JWI equips JCC staff with training and information to support survivors and their children in five Jewish Community Centers nationwide, with plans to reach 40 JCCs by 2024.

JWI had led more than 65 in-person and online Safe Smart Dating workshops on sexual and dating violence prevention - reaching 5,000+ Greek life students across 40 college campuses through our national partnerships with SDT and ZBT.

JWI has provided nearly 200 training webinars as a part of our National Alliance to End Domestic Abuse that supports thousands of professionals working in the field of domestic violence.

JWI has facilitated ## prevention education workshops on consent, bystander intervention, healthy relationships, boundaries, dating abuse, and healthy masculinity for ## Jewish college students at ## Hillels.

JWI’s Interfaith Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence convenes some 40 national faith organizations to advocate for legislation and public policies that protect all people from domestic and sexual violence.

JWI launched a task force of 18 Jewish clergy members who have become ambassadors of domestic violence survivor support across the Jewish community.

JWI provides ongoing opportunities for Jewish male-identifying individuals to meaningfully explore healthy masculinity, allyship, and gender equity in an effort to change the culture of violence and harassment, uplift positive norms, and build gender equity.

JWI has hosted ## financial literacy workshops that empower thousands of young professionals, women over 50, teen girls, and college students with fundamental financial literacy skills to secure their economic independence and long-term security.

JWI developed five comprehensive financial literacy training for survivors of domestic abuse, with correlating videos, curricula, and workshops to be shared with thousands of survivors living in 250 domestic violence shelters nationwide.

JWI has been delivering beautiful Mother’s Day bouquets and empowering financial literacy materials to lift the spirits of tens of thousands of survivors across hundreds of domestic violence shelters over the past 20 years.

JWI has hosted 20 Women to Watch leadership symposia and award galas, spotlighting and amplifying the voices of 200 extraordinary changemakers who are making an impact on their communities, industries, and the world.

JWI has hosted eight Women’s Leadership Conferences, annual mentoring conferences that connect future leaders with accomplished female-identifying role models, inspire young women to speak up on issues that matter most to them, and help women find a welcoming Jewish community.

JWI launched the Jewish Communal Women’s Leadership Project, a cutting-edge leadership education fellowship that prepares female executives working in the Jewish community to step into the c-suite. The ## fellows who have participated to date are visionary leaders guiding our Jewish communal world into the future.

JWI’s Women’s Impact Networks have evolved from one young women’s network in Washington, D.C. to eight networks, comprised of more than 6,000 young women leaders, spanning the breadth of the U.S. and Israel. To meet demand within the JWI community, a new network for women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond was launched in 2021.
