For more than 50 years JWI has advocated fervently for women’s equality, abortion justice, and women’s healthcare by making our voices heard at rallies, hosting bi-annual advocacy days, sending hundreds of emails to members of Congress to codify Roe v. Wade, and hosting educational reproductive justice.

 JWI has spent the past  three decades  working to  prevent    gun violence   in all its forms, while centering the unique needs of domestic violence  survivors .

 JWI has built more than  80    children’s libraries   in domestic violence shelters nationwide to provide comforting, safe spaces for the   shelters’ youngest residents  , and plans to build ## more by 2023.

To meet demand within the JWI community, a new network for women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond was launched in 2021.
